Christmas decorations!!!!

I LOVE Christmas, who really doesn't! I love REAL Christmas trees, the fake ones don't smell good, and are just as much of a pain to put together than a real one, so unless your allergic your just crazy for getting a fake one! I love lights up and down neighborhood streets. Every turn is a winter wonderland. I love listening to 94.9 to listen to the Christmas music all day long, it cheers me up so much! Sorry if I sound too cheesy or a big loser but at least you don't have to deal with my obsession of Christmas like my husband does. Ask him about it and you'll never hear the end of his complaints about me, sorry sammie! It's a tradition that Sam and I started to get a Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving and decorate the house. Well if you don't know we are still living with my in-laws (soon hoping to move out but we are saving a lot of money). It's not a bad setup but we were a little cramped with everything in a 650 square foot apartment basically! So before we decorated we also rearranged the house and threw out some old furniture! Here are some pictures of our newly decorated house!

This was my mom and dad's Nativity scene that I have grown up with and she handed it down to me when her mom passed away and she inherited the really nice nativity scene from her!

We don't have a star for the tree because we lost it somewhere when we moved but we will get that soon! Another tradition we do is each year we buy an ornament I just need to add the years onto them so we will remember! That's why you might see a random red ornament in there, it's one we got last year!

This is another decoration I have grown up with that was handmade by really good friends of my family, ted and penny Johnson. The little drummers play songs by hitting the bells next to them! All the nieces and nephews love it.

I have been wanting floating shelves for so long but I thought my mother in-law wouldn't like me to put big holes all over her walls but she said go for it and she absolutely loves them!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry it's a little late but I figured I would still post how I am so thankful for this year and everything that God has blest me and my family with! Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving!
First thing in the morning every year for the past 3 years we run in the Turkey Trot 5K. I'm waiting on my mom to email the pictures from thanksgiving dinner but I'll post those as soon as I get them.

Which one to choose?

I'm doing major research on T.V.'s and I've come down to two nominees. Both are similar but in a way very different. First let me tell you the wishlist for the t.v.:
1. It's got to be a descent price, none of this $2,000+ crap. Even though I've got a great job I still try to go frugle.
2. We want a 47 inch
3. LCD, Plasma has not be rated very high
4. We want the HDMI so we can plug a computer to it.
5. It has to have the 120 Hz for my sports loving husband

So with this as our wishlist I've come down to choosing between the VIZIO 1080p and the Sony 1080p Bravia
Vizio:

It has all the specs we want but we heard it doesn't have the great resolution as Sony and Samsung. Something about the black and white is rated low but if your not picky than it's a great buy! It's definitely the cheaper of the two but I don't want to be that frugle if it's going to be obviously bad resolution!

Sony Bravia:

This one has the best resolution, and it's the best name brand (under Samsung). It is only a 46" (off by 1" so not that big of a deal) but's almost double the price of the Vizio.
So anyone that has heard of these T.V.'s and can give me any advice to choose between the two that would be great! Then after that I have to find an entertainment center to hold it.

Family Reunion

So I mentioned in earlier post about our family reunion we had in Orlando and we had some awesome pictures taken by Stacy! They turned out great so here are a few of my favorites. The family is missing two other families. Scott and Julie and their 7 kids, and Shane and Tina and their 2 kids, missed you guys!

Happy Halloween

So we had a great Halloween Holiday weekend. We were invited to so many parties on the day after Halloween, it was funny to still celebrate it after the fact. We should do that with Christmas!!! Well we decided to go to Kempton and Jenny, Jill and Mike's party and had a blast! Best game ever was in the pool: "Blind Man's Bluff". We took so many group pictures, I only have the one and then took some with just me and Sam. I was suppose to be Sarah Palin but didn't really look like her so I decided that I would be some President's wife. Sam was some body builder with a fart machine in his back pocket. Kempton named Sam, "Sarah Palin's body guard". That works too. Thanks guys for such a great party!

Giovanni's Baby Blessing

This weekend we spent in Orlando having a family reunion on Sam's side and got to attend the sealing of his brother Clay and wife Kristin. They are pregnant with their first and have totally turned their life around about 7 months ago. It has been an honor to be with them through thick and thin and to see them grow into a humble and wholesome couple. This weekend we also got to be there for the #17 grandchild to be blessed, Giovanni Edward Ciccarello. Sam's sister Rhonda and husband Joseph had their 4th child a couple weeks ago. He is the best baby and we just had a blast this weekend spending time with the family.

I did it!!! Thanks Jill!!!

Alright I finally drastically cut my hair! Thanks to my good friend Jill that I have known since we were 6 she was willing to style color and cut my awesome hair!! The last time I had my hair this short was 9 years ago and it was curly and a terrible accident. This was something that I wanted this time and have been to scared to do because of my terrible experience 9 years ago. The experience that I am talking about is when I was over at my friends house and she decided to straighten my long hair (about the length it was just before I cut my hair now). When she straightened it she saw that there were a few split ends and asked if she could "trim" it for me. Mind you she was 13 and I was 14, so she started cutting. When she was done one side of my hair looked trim and the other side was up to my chin!!! How she gradually got closer to my chin I don't know but I cried and cried and after hiding it for 2 or 3 days I showed my mom and she had to cut all my hair to my chin. I was devastated to have lost all my gorgeous long curly hair. Now it's taken me 9 years and I haven't cut my hair since, only a "trim" by a real professional but I finally decided to go for and absolutely love it and haven't shed a tear since!!! Tell me what you think!

The Nightmare Before Christmas!

So my absolute favorite time of the year is coming up, Halloween. I'm not into the whole satanic Halloween, I love the fall smell, the cinnamon brooms, the harvest decorations and going trick or treating with the nieces and nephews!!! My obbession for halloween began with the movie Hocus Pocus! It's my all time favorite along with The Nightmare Before Christmas which just came out on DVD and of course I got, and Beetle Juice. These are classic movies to me and when I decorate I go all out. I haven't put all the decorations out yet but I wanted to show you my newest addition from a place called The Pottery Barn.

What do you think!!!

So I've been wanting to do something totally drastic with my look and found this website from a friend called taaz.com So I was looking for a hair style that would be really good for me and found this one!! I might do it a little longer than this but along the same idea, so what do you think? Let me know if this would be really bad or good for me! I would get my hair chemically straightened and a little more blonde!

New bedding!!!

I haven't been on in a long time because my job is taking up all my free time that I use to have posting on our blog but I promise I will get those pictures of me in my cute new scrubs! Here is something I just wanted to show off, we got new bedding that I think is more modern and a good comprimise for a female and a male! Look at the older one compared to this new look!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!

I know it's been a long time but I am happy to say that I am EMPLOYED!!!! The dentist I was telling you about hired me after going through 3 interviews they finally felt comfortable adding a newbie hygienist to their team. Today was my working interview and tell me if this wasn't nerve racking enough: my patients were the dentist's wife (in charge of hiring me), his daughter , a receptionist, her husband, and the patient coordinator!!! I was so nervous cleaning my potential bosses staff's teeth! I must have been good enough because they were excited to add me to the team! I'll take a picture on my first week of work, they have the cutest scrubs that I'll be wearing! Just to tell you how awesome this dentist is, I was standing in the hallway the dentist puts out his arm for me to grab and send us both skipping down the hall, that's my kind of employer.

Wishing, and hoping, and planning and dreaming!

So I've been in the process of finding a job and I did have work but only for a week while the hygienist was in the hospital. So yesterday I got a call from a gentlemen who sells dental tools in our ward and he told me that his best account was needing a hygienist and he already talked to them and referred me. I called the office and they were so kind and friendly on the phone and asked if I could come in that day to have an interview. I quickly got ready in my cute new outfit and was at the office for 3 1/2 hours in the interviewing process. They called me today asking if I could come in Friday to meet the team leader. It's the perfect job and makes very good money so I am wishing and hoping and planning and dreaming that this job will be mine!!!

Palmyra New York, and Washington DC

That's right Sam and I went on another vacation, we went to two cities that mean a lot to our family! The firt city was Palmyra New York, a small town near Rochester that is very special and important to our church's history! We then went to Washington DC which is also a very important part to this country. It was amazing to feel the spirit of both places and to know that a lot of important things happened in those two cities. One thing that was hard about this trip was the actual way we got there. We drove with my family in a van, 6 people in a 7 passenger van stuck for 24 hours!!! Here are a few pictures of the trip!!
