Happy Mother's Day!

For this mother's day my mom asked my sisters and me to write her poems. If anyone really knows me they know that I can't rhyme worth anything and if I do it sounds so lame. So this mother's day gift was the biggest challenge for me. I went online to find different types of poems and I came across one called a Quatrain. It consists of four lines and lines 2 and 4 have to rhyme and have the same number of syllables. To make it more difficult for myself I decided to add candy bars in place of certain words. After this poem was complete I thought that it was too general and not personal enough so I made a second poem. Just so everyone can have confirmation as to how horrible I am at writing poems here is the second poem:

Mother your love for us in unchanging
But we can’t stand your hobby of rearranging.
Something that will always remain the same
Is your sweet tooth, but there’s no shame.
Your laugh is so contagious
It could be because our humor is outrageous.
You always make sure your kids are happy
I hope this poem doesn’t make you feel crappy.
Your dinners are always delicious
The word of the day is- expeditious.
We love you so much and on this the 11th day in May
We wish you a big HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

Well my mom really enjoyed laughing at me and that lets me know she liked it!
Here is the first poem, the Quatrain

After taking this picture 4 times we finally got my youngest sister Nicole to smile and act normal

I have to ask do any other guys dress like this on Sunday with their church socks up as high as they can go with shorts? He usually wears basketball shorts but because it was Mother's Day I told him to dress up a little nicer!

You and your sisters are all so cute! When we visited FL a few years ago, we loved Clear Water beach too!! :)

Yeah, we dress like that, are you kidding?! The girls go nuts! I don't know why, maybe is some animal instinct.

Way to go with the poems! Major creativity points! And it really is a universal guy trait to keep their ugly black church socks on. Its even better when its just underwear and socks!

Oh the socks....I definitely got rid of that right away! There is no excuse for those bad socks!

I think you're rhyming is hilarious! You get an A for effort! Oh and I'm glad to know my husband isn't the only one who keeps his black dress socks on all Sunday whether he's still got the suit on or not.
