Everything is Bigger in Texas!!

This labor day weekend Sam and I decided to keep our tradition going by going on a vacation out of state and head to San Antonio Texas

We stayed with Sam's sister Rhonda and brother-in-law Joseph and their four beautiful children Chiara, Angelina, Alexander, and little Giovanni

We mostly caught up with them and relaxed but Saturday was our big adventure day. Rhonda and Joseph had been watching Man vs. Food and saw a couple places that we should try out so we headed to Austin. In the morning we went to the first place called Roundrock donuts. They are famous for their "Texas Donut" this donut gives meaning to the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas". This donut is 2 1/2 pounds equal to 1 dozen donuts, they make it by using a 5 gallon bucket. Sam almost finished it.

Then we headed to Cedar Park City where we rode on an old fashion train to Bertram. We sat coach and it took us about an hour and half compared to a 30 minute car ride. We felt like we were back in the early 1900's.

Our train stopped in Bertram population 1100. They were having their annual oatmeal festival. This was the cutest homemade parade I have ever seen. This town reminded me of the movie Sweet Home Alabama where everyone knew each other. We must have stood out like a soar thumb because some folks were saying hi and introducing themselves.

Then the best part of the day came, dinner time!! We went to a place where host of Man vs. Food claimed, "You guys have seen me eat a lot of foods this is the best BBQ I have tried." This BBQ is called The SaltLick where they are using a 150 year old recipe. The BBQ melted in your mouth and fell off the bone!! We really enjoyed our stay and came home Monday. Other things that have been going on were before the trip to Texas my good friend Jenny Leigh who I've known since I was 12 had her baby shower. She is about 3 weeks behind me and is having a little boy, it would be crazy if they grew up and dated, it's a fun thought! There were 4 of us pregnant, another good friend Camie, Jenny Leigh's sister Lyndi, me and Jenny Leigh.

It got me really excited for my own baby shower and even better baby Kamryn's arrival. The pregnancy has been going great so far I actually failed my first glucose test so I had to take a 3 hour one and that was not fun at all. I'm also anemic so besides all the blood tests I've had to take it's been going really well. I've only gained about 13 lbs so far and the baby is actually bigger than the average but then again look at who her father is. I can't believe I'm in the homestretch let's hope the next 12 weeks will be even better.

Great Week

This past week was pretty busy but in the best way. We had a wonderful family home evening on Compassion. Worked like crazy and didn't see Sam at all until Thursday. Thurdsay we were very fortunate to have family in the Brandon Stake to be able to attend a fireside with the special guest as David Archuleta. He was amazing, his voice was so crisp and clear that when he sung his favorite hymns there was not a dry eye in the chapel. He is so humble, very shy (in a cute way) and has such a strong testimony. Then Friday we headed out to Orlando on Friday to see my 4th cousin Austin Chase get sealed to his gorgeous bride. Then we did sealings with my family for my dad's side, a very special moment to always remember. That night we went to Austin's reception and if you know the Chase's they have the best food and funniest relatives. Saturday got to sleep in and then go to my friends Lindsay's baby shower which was very cute and creative. There were four of us pregnant at the baby shower!! News with our baby, I finally started feeling her move about 1 1/2 week and a half ago, it didn't feel like flutters more like a large piece of food trying to move through my intestines in the same spot. We had our doctors visit and found out I'm anemic and need to take iron supplements. What scared us though was the ultrasound tech said my amniotic fluid was low and I needed another ultrasound to get it checked right away but they can't schedule me for 3 weeks, ya since that makes perfect sense. We will let you know more as the weeks go on.

Starting with me I was due the latest and up to the earliest! (I hope that makes sense)

Halfway There

I have finally arrived to my halfway point of the pregnancy!!! Ever since I've reached this point a few wonderful things have happened. I haven't gotten sick (YAAAAAAHHHHHH!) so I've been able to gain weight rather than loose it. By gaining weight I think my belly has finally realized that I'm pregnant and started to pooch out even when I haven't eaten so I know this baby bump is for real and not a food bump. I haven't felt her move yet but I'm not sure if it's that I haven't felt her or realized what it feels like. But I can't wait till that moment arrives. Here are some recent pictures of the belly

Carter Thomas or Kamryn Ashley????

So we had our results at the Radiology Center of what Sam and I are having. We would like to announce Kamryn Ashley Chapman our little baby GIRL who will make her arrival on Dec 3!!!! We are pretty sure of this guess but thats the thing is sounded like more of a guess. The ultrasound tech made us feel better at the end but the baby was in an awkard position the whole time with her legs crossed, kept close together and even at one point had her hand on top of her woo hoo! She really tried to cover herself up but at some point the tech was able to get a shot where you could see the three lines of the labia. So although it was a guess it seems like a good guess. Some of the fun things that we learned was our new due date being Dec 3 and that the baby is 10 ounces. From everything I've read on the internet the average baby at 19 weeks is 8 1/2 ounces so our little girl is a bit big for her age which scares me. We don't know if everything is ok, I have to wait for my results from the doctor in a few weeks so we will let you know. As for right now we are very excited and already have looked at little girl clothes which are so much cuter than the boys sorry to say! We can't wait for December it will be the best Christmas ever!

Baby Bump or Food Bump, that is the question!

So I have been noticing a slight bump these last few days. I have been waiting so long for this but I'm in question as to the bump being a true baby bump or just a food bump. When I'm hungry I have no bump, it's not as flat as it use to be but it doesn't poke out. After I eat a meal, large or small, I acquire a very distinct bump. For example
Before food

After food

So this raises the concern am I eating too much or is everything being smooshed out more because of the baby?

More updates we will find out on July 10 if it's a boy or girl!! All the midwives and chinese gender predictors say a girl but we are hoping for a boy. I would be happy with either one but it seems more fun going in with wanting a certain gender!
What does your predictor think Baby Chapman will be?
My best friend Nichole had her baby so we went to visit her first day here on earth. She is adorable and they did come up with a name Khloe (i love the spelling) it made us so excited for our little one

I'm back!!!!!

Sorry everyone that is has taken me over a month to get a post up here. So much has happened and one major reason I haven't been able to blog is bc the pregnancy got worse. I would get sick here and there but I was fine with it because I could at least keep food down. Well at 13 weeks the vomiting got to it's worst. I couldn't keep anything down even the acid in my stomach since I had no food inside for 24 hours. I went to my OBGYN and found out that I lost 5lbs (a total of 10lbs my whole first trimester). Needless to say there is no baby bump and I hear how awful I look all the time, THANKS :-)! lol anyways I was given the most amazing prescription called Zophran to help with the vomiting. I'm able to keep food down and have gained back 5 of the 10lbs I had lost. I'm at 15 weeks and I have gotten sick one more time but I pretty much have my Zophran with me at all times! Other fun things that have happened since are:
My sister Nicole turned 19!

Had memorial day at a friends house who had the best toys: a boat, waverunner, pool, grill, jacuzzi, and lived on the ocean.

Went out on a 40ft boat to celebrate my girlfriend Lisa's birthday! Best birthday idea ever!

Saw my peanut grow from this

To this!

Spent a weekend in Orlando to get some last quality time with Sam's sister and brother-in-law. They are moving to Texas tomorrow and we are so sad to see such a great family go!

And last but not least just found out 1 minute ago that my best friend from dental hygiene school just had her little baby girl! Don't know the name yet I'm not sure if they do either!

I hope that caught everyone up without a ton of pictures and words. I promise that as soon as I get some kind of a bump I will post them but as for now I'm actually thinner than I was before I was pregnant.

And the fun begins!

During my first few weeks being pregnant it was relatively easy and nice. I was starving all the time and felt like normal, just a few cramps everyday. Once we told the family my mom could not stop asking me, "are you sure you don't feel sick?" Yes mom I feel great, I probably wouldn't even know I was pregnant. I didn't have to pee frequently, food was amazing I could eat all day, boobs weren't sore, nothing. Then I had my first prenatal visit and my mom even asked the doctor, "Is it normal for her to feel perfectly fine?" Doctor said yes, in fact it's pretty common for some women to be lucky like that. I just laughed at her for being so envious of my perfect pregnancy. Then that Monday the fun began or should I say the curse that my mom has been hoping for (just kidding mom, I love you). Morning sickness has hit, I have to wake up at 3 every morning to pee. Food is my enemy and smells awful, especially when my husband bought some KFC. I am exhausted and can hardly watch a movie. All in all I am officially a definite pregnant woman.
